Imagine yourself at the controls of the space shuttle...feeling the g-forces of spaceflight or preparing for launch at Kennedy Space Center.
Have you ever wanted to train like an astronaut?
The Astronaut Training Experience (ATX) program immerses you in the exciting world of today's astronauts with realistic astronaut training.
You will hear first-hand from a veteran NASA astronaut, experience a space shuttle mission simulation and perform hands-on space exploration activities.
ATX focuses on hands-on aspects of astronaut training, including a mission simulation and training simulators.
You will first arrive at the KSC visitors complex where you will enjoy the facilities in the visitor center including IMAX movies and the launch shuttle launch experience simulator.
In the afternoon we head over to the Astronaut Hall of Fame where your Astronaut Training Experience (ATX) takes place.
The intensity of the astronaut training program offers a realistic view at what must be achieved every time NASA launches a manned mission.
Must be at least 14 years old to partcipate.
